Superior Care for the Entire Family: Infants to Seniors

Our Mission

To provide superior, state of the art family medicine for patients of all ages, infants to seniors, in a friendly, caring, professional environment.

SPC Overview

Our Board Certified, Family Medicine Providers provide our patients with all of the latest services and technology needed to exceed the Quality Care Initiatives recommended by Federal and State government as well as all the commercial insurance companies. Through the use of our certified electronic health record software, we are able to keep you compliant on your preventive care visits, annual physicals and testing, chronic medical condition monitoring, and medication maintenance. We also work very closely with area specialists, home care and hospice agencies, nursing homes, and hospitals to improve the health and lives of the people in our community. Several of our Providers have particular interests and are available for appointments for general women's health, diabetes care, senior care, COPD, sports and school physicals, and all Preventive Health services.

Summit Primary Care is very conveniently located just a block from Summit Medical Center and close to many specialists, as well as outpatient imaging centers.

Our entrance has a covered drive-through patient drop-off area with automated opening front doors. We have wheelchairs available in the lobby for your use to accommodate patients who are unable to walk.

Also, unlike many clinics or small practices in the area, for your convenience, we perform most tests on-site, including blood draw, EKG, spirometry testing, hearing testing, urine drug testing, and x-ray.

Hospital Care

SPC patients requiring hospital inpatient services are generally referred to Summit Medical Center. On occasion, you may be referred to a downtown hospital by your SPC provider if it is more appropriate for your situation. If you need hospitalization, our hospitalist partners will care for you while you are in the hospital and then coordinate your transition back to outpatient care with us after your discharge from the hospital.

Appointment Hours

Most SPC Providers maintain appointment hours M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call for specifics for your PCP.

For unplanned visits for minor medical problems, you may walk in anytime from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.*   New patients and self-pay patients tell us they prefer our walk-in availability to the doc-in-a-box in pharmacies & grocery stores because we are much more full service, our prices are comparable or better, and they get rapid access to our Providers as needed.

*(Due to the lack of available openings recently, we prefer that you make an appointment.)

Operators are available to take appointment and other calls from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please call during these hours to schedule an appointment. You cannot do it through the on-call doctor or voicemail or portal messaging. This is because the information we need to schedule the proper amount of time for you with your Provider requires a question and answer session with our staff.

All incoming calls to Summit Primary Care are first processed by an automated attendant, which allows you to get directly to the proper department. After hours, your emergency calls are directed to the on-call Provider's voicemail, which will page the on-call Provider after you leave your message. The Provider will call you back for any medical emergency to discuss the situation with you.
